About Dhamma Nasika
Dhamma Nāsikā, meaning 'Nose of Dhamma,' is situated on a secluded plot of land given by the Municipal Corporation of Nashik. The 17-acre triangular plot, about one-hour drive from Dhamma Giri, is on a high piece of land and protected on all sides. Away from the hustle and bustle of the city, Dhamma Nāsikā is yet within convenient distance of Nashik city. On all sides one can see the mountains of Sahyadri. The centre overlooks Nashik city. Gangapur Dam is about three kilometers away.
HOW TO REACH THE CENTRE:
For those coming by bus:
From New Central Bus Stand [ New CBS(Thakkar Bazar)] the site is at 12 km towards west.One can take a city bus to Shivaji-Nagar; Satpur Or one can take a share-auto to Shivaji Nagar; Satpur and then another share/special auto onward to the centre. Main landmark opposite the center is Nashik Corporation Water Purification Plant.(Or filtration plant for which LOCAL PEOPLE Called it as- FILTER only.)
For those coming via Gangapur Road :- just after crossing the Gangapur village, take the left turn at Octroi post before the big arch,there is a sign showing way to Nashik Vipassana Centre at the junction.
For those coming via Trimbak Road:
Take the right turn from Sahyadri Institute of Nursing,Samruddha Nagar,Sant Narhari Maharaj Chouk, half km. ahead of Papaya Nursery towords Trimbak,the road takes one straight to Shivaji Nagar,ask for directions to the centre there.
For those arriving at Nashikroad Railway Station:
Take city bus to Shivaji nagar,Satpur and then another share/special auto onward to the centre.
